Running from the worst part of me 

I keep running from that person I use to be!

I keep pretending like I can do this 

I can live this life 

Be that person that everyone except me to be 

And I keep trying to convince my self 

That this who I am now 

That I would get better 

But I feel trapped in someone else’s life

Like am living my worst nightmare 

And there is no one to wake me up

I don’t know where to go 

Or what to do 

 most of the time  I feel like

I lost the sinse of right and wrong 

I truly don’t know if its ever getting

Eating clean guide for beginners 


It’s been some time since I started my clean eating journey, it was hard at the beginning but it got easier, there is more than one reason to start eating clean, some do it to lose weight or become healthier not to mention the finance benefits.


I did face a lot of challenges one of them is to start cooking, honestly I wasn’t the greatest at cooking I never did it before and it did seams like a lot of work! But I was blessed to have a great family and friends who supported me through this.


From my little experience the first roll about cooking if your a beginner is always follow the recipe to the word, start by doing easy things, if you don’t have the time cook everyday do food prep for the week or more, it’s a great way to get on the right track.


It’s been almost 2 years and am feeling amazing, lots of energy, overall healthier.

It felt amazing being able to make good food for family I have a small family, it’s just me and my husband and our little toddler.

Let me explain to you what is eating clean?


it’s eating neutral Whole Foods, foods that haven’t been tampered with, in the lab or the manufacturing.


Avoid processed foods, processed foods are any food that has a label A label means that more than one ingredient was used to make that food. You don’t have to eliminate all processed foods (like whole grain pasta or natural cheeses), but if you can’t pronounce an ingredient on a label, don’t put that food in your shopping basket.


I try my best following that in my everyday life almost 95% of the time, if your just starting you don’t have to be harsh in your self! start gradually that’s what I did! I start with elements the things I won’t notice when it’s gone or I don’t use in a regular basis, and I replace it with healthier virgin.


I do love vegetables a lot even when I use to eat unhealthy, and the thought of becoming vegetarian cross my mind once of twice, but I didn’t know the first thing about becoming vegetarian, and it dose seems hard.

There is some great YouTube channel all about eating clean and healthy, they did help me a lot when I first started, there is 3  YouTube channel that I personally find truly helpful.

it’s not just about eating clean, there is a lot about food prep information about products and some cool things like bento box 🍱 some nice snacks and sweets she’s a really fun person.

Second the domistic geeks


My first time making granola par was her recipe yes granola par and it’s so simple you wouldn’t believe it, I enjoy her videos she have some stuff about organizing cleaning and a lot of other tips.

The third YouTube channel I start following recently (fit couple cooks)


They helped me a lot with food prep and quick recipes they are amazing.

I did some reading about eating there is a lot of books and articles as well, I’ll talk about my top 3 books.

first thing I read was eating clean for dummies


This book is the main guide at all time, it’s simple, easy and to the point.

Second book I recommend for you eat clean stay lean


This is a very amazing book with lots of great recipes and easy cooking.

The third book it my personal favorite, it’s my to go book at all time!


This book offer a choice of delicious recipes.

This is some of the things I read and some of the YouTube channels I follow am sure there is 💯 more and more, find your best fit, and never stop believing in your self! If I can do it you can.

One year passed, so fast !

But it was different from any year 

I feel like am closer becoming that person

I’m from an average Eritrean African family, I grow up in Saudi Arabia, I have a lot of cousins and uncles and before I was old enough to go out in the real world they use to be around me very often, They had different idea of explain discrimination and talking about it, From what i can remember

Its ok to make fun of someone if he was weird or different because hes asking for it, And us African we can attack white people as much as we want because they forced us into slavery for a long time.

though I was a child I didn’t agree with that, Because no one chose what they look like so why would we judge them for something they was born with?

I remember going to my father one day and ask him about his idea in discrimination and he told me we are all the same boons blood flash and Saul, And when our life end we go 10 feet under, He told me I should be fair with everyone and treat them the way you would want them to treat.

I got older and I understand that no matter how good you treat other there is some sick people out there, I went to school university then I start working, I have met different people from different background and I have been discriminated based on the color of my skin and the fact am a women more than I can remember but the one that stuck with me and hurt me the most when i was 8 years old we had a play coming up,  I loved acting i was so exited about the part, The play was snow white, It was down to me and to one other girl, The teacher picked the other girl and told me you cant get the part because you are black.

You shouldn’t let anyone make you feel less about your self, You are perfect no matter what color you are, what sex you are or what is your sexual orientation be proud of your self for what you are.

how to lose weight in 30 days

I’m sure there is more than one way to lose weight in 30 days but I want to talk about what

work for me.

I never follow a diet plan or starve my self out, I just  had lots of healthy sank around drink lots of water, I ate less crab more fibbers and stared active.

I will walk you throw what i did for 30 days in details.

first thing i set a weight loss target to make myself motivated and focused, I was realistic about my goals i wanted something pushing me to move foreword

I Clean out your fridge from everything unhealthy things and stock with a lot of fruits and vegetable, healthy snacks, I didn’t go crazy if i find something i like i would take it but in low fat try to eat less of it and filled up in fruits and smoothies.

I try to cut your portions at least the meats and replace it with salmon other kind of fish and sometimes chickens.

find i good workout program and start doing it.

I did my search about what kind of exercise i could do beside walking, i was a beginner i didn’t know how to do push up and all that hard stuff, I told my self I’ll start simple, Do the things i can and push my limit a little bit everyday.

how was my experience:

the first day felt like the hardest thing i ever did, Sometime during the workout i couldn’t keep up, Some stuff was to hard but i did my best till the end. after the first week it got easier, Of course i had some bad days but i didn’t let it slow me and i kept pushing my self.

my final result I workout everyday and i walk no less than an hour everyday i watched what am eating and i didn’t eat anything after 7 pm i felt more energetic and active, Overall i lost 8 kg , I didn’t stop there i stayed active i workout at least 3 times a week, I walk at least once every other day, Sometimes i eat out but i try not to make it a اhabit. you should always love your self and do what make you healthy happy and free, I truly wish you the best in your journey no matter what it is.
